Here are 10 very recognisable songs that ONLY use 2 chords – now that’s simple but effective songwriting! Now, this list isn’t ALL the songs that just use 2 chords, this is just my hand-picked selection that I think most will love and recognise!

#5: Achy Breaky Heart – Billy Ray Cyrus – uses A major and E major

#6: Dance The Night Away – The Mavericks – uses E major and B7

#7: Fallin- Alicia Keys – uses E minor and Bm7 (the only piano-based one in this list!)

#8: Dreams – Fleatwood Mac – uses F major and G major

#9: Blurred Lines – Robin Thicke – uses G major and D major

#10: Give Peace A Chance – John Lennon – uses Ab major and Db major
